Wintersett 04.03.13

Cloudy, cool wind but dry.  A few sunny spells this afternoon.  Vegetation clearing on the Pol continues.
Wintersett Res:  The Drake Smew was still here.  Shoveler 1 male.
Anglers CP:  18  Whooper Swans  were on the lake early this morning as was a 1st W Iceland Gull which left NW at 07.00hrs.   The female Long-tailed Duck still here, also 16 Pochard and a Water Rail. A male and a female Siskin were using the feeding station in the car park.

    Haw Park Wood
    Tawny Owl calling & Siskin
    Last Thursday at slipway of Cold Hiendly Res Grey Wagtail
