Old Moor - 2nd March

Had a day off work today and paid an unusual midweek visit to Old Moor, saw a lot of old faces and I mean old, only joking. No sign of Med Gull reported earlier in day and 5 Whoopers present earlier on the mere had already moved to Edderthorpe. Birds I did see were as follows:- Mere 7 Goldeneye (3 drakes, 1 immature drake and 3 females), Oystercatcher, Redshank, Green Sandpiper, c200 Golden plover over, 2 Lesser Black backs. Field Pools Little Egret, 3 Oystercatchers and Ringed Plover. Wader Scrape 6 Goosander, 2 Oystercatchers, 3 Redshank. Reedbeds 2 Oystercatchers and Green Sandpiper.
