Lots of
Pink-footed Geese on the move, north-westwards,
13 skeins totalled 1600 birds, chiefly in the early afternoon. The female
Long-tailed Duck still on the country park, two
Scaup on the top res, three Egyptian Geese, 63 Goosanders, 94 Goldeneye, 151 Wigeon, 11 Snipe. The regular
first-winter Caspian Gull flew onto the country park at 14.00 and remained here to dark. A
first-winter Yellow-legged Gull also roosted on the C P and the regular
third-winter bird was on the top res. Other large gull numbers were relatively poor with;- GBBGull 38, LBBGull 12 and Herring Gull 151. Common Gull 2000 and Black-headed Gull 8000 roosted on the top res.
