At long last we got a decent wader this spring;- a breeding plumage
Turnstone was down early morning with 8 Dunlin but was spooked by a Lesser Black-backed Gull, the Turnstone left northwards but the Dunlin returned and spent the remainder of the day here - until the flock was attacked at 16.45 by a
Hobby which singled one out and pursued it rapidly into the distance (the Dunlin did appear to be getting further away by the time I lost them). Shelduck 2, Ringed Plover 8 plus recently hatched young, LRP 5, Oystercatcher 4, Common Sandpiper 1, Redshank 12, Lapwing 52, Common Buzzard 6, Common Tern 2
