Wintersett Sunday
Another pretty good day here;- all the usual wildfowl are still present, the drake American Wigeon and female Long-tailed Duck on the country park lake, two drake Scaup and three Egyptian Geese on the top res. A Bittern was flushed from the willow wood on the top res (first this winter). A steady westward movement of large gulls mid afternoon revealed GBBGull 77 and a first-winter Glaucous Gull. The top res gull roost in the evening held;- GBBGull 226, LBBGull 16, Herring Gull 620 and two first-winter Yellow-legged Gulls
