Castle Dam and surrounding area 07/04

Very pleasant afternoon with a spring migrant at last!

Male Wheatear in fields north of Oxspring Road. 2 Curlew, 10 Golden Plover and 4 Lapwing (2 displaying) also. Other sightings included c100 Fieldfare, 20 Redwing, 2 Tree Sparrow and 3 Stock Dove.

    Area for male Wheatear is Roughbirchworth Common.
