Wintersett 12.07.13

Sunny, 19°C at 09.00 hrs rising to 29°C and hazy by early afternoon, with a very light northerly.
Anglers CP:  Common Sandpiper 1,  Goldeneye 1♀,  Oystercatcher 4 adults and 3 juveniles,  Great Crested Grebe 1 young + 1 young CHRes.
Wintersett Res: Common Tern 2,  Pochard 1 ♂,  Grasshopper Warbler 1♂ reeling and a Gadwall brood of 5.
Also flying:   In the humid conditions dragonflies were extremely active and Brown Hawker,  Black-tailed Skimmer,  4 Spot Chaser and Emperor were all seen.  A White-letter Hairstreak was seen on Haw Park Lane.
Moth trapping overnight produced:  Eyed Hawk-moth,  Lilac Beauty,  Gothic,  Clay Triple-lines,  Southern Wainscott 2,  Plain Wave and White Satin.   A Beautiful China Mark moth was seen this morning at WRes..
