Arrived just as light was breaking through to the sound of large gulls calling, not something that happens regular here. Some were already flying off northwards and there was a large gathering on the water which had clearly roosted overnight. Counted 210 Lesser Black-backs and amongst them were
3Yellow-legged (2 adults and a juvenile) and a nice adult
Caspian Gull. The Caspian was one of the last to leave, heading off north-west just before seven oclock. Spent most of my time here looking at gulls but other birds I saw;- Pintail, Ruff 3, Dunlin 8, Black-tailed Godwit 4, Golden Plover 2.
