Arrived at Wombwell Ings mid-afternoon to be told by an angler that I'd just missed two Red Kites going over. Later arrived at Reedbed Hide at Old Moor to be told I'd just missed a burst of song from a Cetti's.

I did see 2 Grey Wagtails by the bridge at Wombwell Ings and whilst listening for the Cetti's I heard a Water Rail and I saw the 11 Whoopers so not all bad news.
