Carlton Marsh

An Oystercatcher flew north from the wader scrape at 06.55hrs (Keith Bannister).

A Peregrine in stoop mode was seen over Royston Road, to the east of the reserve recording area, and 2 Lesser Whitethroats sang from the Albert Street Allotments (JP).

A Waved Umber moth found its way into Dave Standish's kitchen last night at Firth Avenue, Low Cudworth.

Littleworth Park- Monk Bretton
A new species of butterfly here - Wall Brown! 13 species of butterfly also included 7 Small Copper, 14 Dingy Skipper, 2 Small Heath, 1 Holly Blue,  and 2 male Brimstone. 
 
Day flying moths were 1 Burnet Companion, 5 Small Yellow Underwing,  7 Mother Shipton, 1 Brown Silver Line and 2 Silver Y.
Also 3 female Broad-bodied Chaser, 18 Squash Bugs, the beetle Cantharis rustica, the Weevil Platyrhinus resinous and 7 Smooth Newts (Chris Parkin).
