Phew what a beautiful day. The temperature in my garden peaked at just over 18c this afternoon!
4 Buzzards spent most of the afternoon circling above the reserve. 4 Lapwing flew south, 2 Water Rails called and 2 Chiffchaffs were singing. Also present 2 Coal Tits, Little Owl and 5 Tufted Ducks.
Insects included 20 Peacocks, 15 S. Tortoiseshells, 9 Commas and 1 male Brimstone.
