How good is our valley ?

When you look at all the stuff seen in the valley yesterday from Edderthorpe to Adwick you realise how fantastic the Dearne Valley area really is.
Two or three garganey, avocets, backwits, loads of wheatears, 2 whinchats, red kite, marsh harrier etc etc etc.
Its great now, so how good would it be if the conditions on the ground were better i.e. if the water levels at ALL the sites were spot on and the security problems associated with some of the sites were sorted out.

Bernard Emson says Excellent. Wetlands and reed beds form a six mile corridor ouzing with bird life.We are inclined to forget how wonderful a valley we have,it has expanded beyond what we envisaged. So thank you RSPB and all parties concerned. 2 May 2012
