Little Owl by Serpentine bridge which is 3/4 mile (as the owl flies) from Keeper's Pond where there was a pair last week and the week before. Two cuckoos heard. At Cold Bath Farm an adult Tree Sparrow with one juvenile.
Thanks for the reaction to Wood Warbler report - very interesting.
Tried yesterday for Whinchat along track from Stone Circle to shooting lodge where previously found them breeding but with no success - again!

Ian, if you want to catch up with Whinchat, try the Dunford Road, above Broadhill Car Park at Winscar Reservoir. There is a male holding territory here but it can be a bit mobile. Try from T junction with Towhead- Dunford Bridge Road to first house on yor left.
