Tuesday

Broomhill Flash: Early morning visit produced a new brood of 8 Shoveler as well as the brood of 5 Pochard. A Greenshank circled round for a while and then flew towards Old Moor.

Old Moor: 2 Bitterns, Little Egret, 15 Teal (13 drakes), 140 Gadwall, 4 LRP, Greenshank, 3 Med' Gulls, 10 Common Terns, juv Tawny Owl (heard). The Sand Martin wall was checked today and there are currently 7 occupied holes, 3 of which have young totaling 17.

Wombwell Ings: Drake Teal, 2 Avocet, Whimbrel (presumed same).

As far as I'm aware Bernard's Spoonbill blog from Edderthorpe  refers to around 9am but it could not be found late morning.
