Edderthorpe, Monday morning
Arrived just after dawn to find the flash unusually empty looking. Had my suspicions why and I soon had the answer - what few Lapwings and gulls that had gathered took to the air in panic as a Peregrine came flying through low clearing everything but the wildfowl. Wildfowl numbers remain high with; Shelduck 2, Garganey 1, Pintail 2, Shoveler 131, Wigeon 6. Of the waders that remain; Ruff 3, Dunlin 11. And a couple of Willow Tits around the bench (they have been rather scarce this year).

update graham at 9.00am.Peregrine still on patrol but picked up the following when birds settled down.
Black tailed godwit 3, ringed plover 1, snipe 2,Ruff 3, Dunlin 10,Golden plover 1,Selduck 2.
