Wintersett Roost Weds 4th Sept 2013

It appears that last nights good numbers of big gulls were a surge of migrants as numbers were back to previous levels again tonight.

Lesser-black Backs numbered 206, with just 1 adult Yellow-legged to be found late on. Black-headed Gulls remained at the 2500 level.

The first winter Med Gull from earlier in the day appeared in the roost late on.

Also roosting were c500 Starlings and 200 Swallows.
