Broomhead & Langsett

Broomhead;- Two-barred Crossbills were showing much of the day, as many as 12 were reported on the pager although no-one I spoke with had seen more than the usual 7 or 8.
The adult 'Kumliens Gull' was on the res at 14.45 along with a couple hundred other large gulls. Unfortunatly, some gunners nearby had a manic ten minutes, the constant blasts spooked all the gulls and they departed in the direction of Langsett Res. at 15.00. A first-winter Kittiwake joined the roost at 15.30.
Langsett;- The adult 'Kumliens Gull' relocated to the res here and showed reasonably well from the Langsett Barns side until dark. Also present;- GBBGull 84, Herring Gull 300.
