Wilthorpe Marsh 1-1-14.
Pair of Willow Tits feeding in mature elderberry. Long Eared Owl 1, Chiffchaff 2, Water Rail 1, Green Sandpiper 2 flying round sewage farm and probably another flushed off the river. Common Snipe 2 and supprisingly no sign of any J. Snipe.

I flushed a Jack Snipe at Wooley Grange tip yesterday morning. Very few other birds on there though

i assume from the marshy bit in the middle of the tip/reclamation?
