a.m. Anglers CP: Shoveler 23, Water Rail 1 and Woodcock 1. A Brambling visited the feeding station in the car park.
p.m. Wintersett Res: The Cetti's Warbler was calling from the west bank marsh.
The Gull roost this afternoon was poor, with no sign of the Kumlien's. ACP roost wasn't checked.

Kittiwakes are usually described as having 'dipped in ink' wingtips. It was, therefore, surprising to see two primaries with white tips.

Just Googled a few pictures of Kittiwakes and several adults were easily found showing white tips to a couple of primaries. So looks like the 'dipped in ink' is not totally correct.
