Roost in willows on Willow Pool - Grey Heron 6, Cormorant 17, Little Egret 19, Great White Egret 1.

The Great White Egret was feeding on the Wader Scrape until 20.40 when it flew into roost.

19 Little Egrets came into roost tonight as follows - 1 at 19.27, 4 at 19.31, 1 at 19.40, 4 at 19.52, 1 at 20.19, 1 at 20.24, 5 at 20.40, 1 at 20.51 and finally 1 at 21.08. Tonight 15 Egrets came in from up the valley, 1 (the last one) from down the valley and the other 3 were on the Wader Scrape when I arrived.

Brian Davies visited Denaby Ings again tonight and posted the following counts - Grey Heron 6, Cormorant 55+ and Little Egret 15. Therefore we have at least 34 Little Egrets in the Lower Dearne Valley, who would have predicted that?
