Carlton Marsh

This morning first thing 7 Snipe were feeding out on the wader scrape. By 09.00hrs 3 Black-tailed Godwits had arrived (Rod Heeley) and were tweeted soon after by Ian Morris. 2 Little Egrets were also present. However, the Godwits had gone by 13.00hrs.

This afternoon they were replaced by 24 Lapwings and there were 74 Gadwall and 14 Teal.

This evening 
2 Kingfishers were streaking around the main marsh together and a Goldcrest was singing. 20 birds ringed included 6 Chiffchaffs, 4 Blackcaps, 3 Reed Warblers, 1 Willow Warbler and a female Cetti's Warbler
