On Candlemass Day we are beginning to see a slight change and early signs that spring is on its way. Tufted Duck numbers have increased from 1 in January to 15 (9m) today.
40+ Canada Geese and several Greylags are very vocal as they start to think about staking a claim to a nest site.
Although the Bittern hasn't been seen since Tuesday, we are hopeful that this elusive bird is still here somewhere.
Velvet Shank and Scarlet Elf Cup are springing up and the first Snowdrops are in bloom.
