Wheatear, Wombwell Ings - John Seeviour

Evening visit to Old Moor where birds seen today include: Spoonbill (still on Willow Pool just prior to dusk), Ringed Plover 10, LRP 1, Golden Plover 26, Greenshank 7, Redshank 8, Spotted Redshank 3 juvs, Ruff 17+, Black-tailed Godwit 20, Dunlin 15, Green Sand 7, Kingfisher, Yellow Wag 5. A brood of Sand Martins were rung this afternoon (4 of 5) in the wall, the first time any nestlings have been rung there in September.

No sign of Whichat on Wombwell Ings this evening and no reports of Night Heron received today and certainly no sign this evening.
