Wintersett 06.07.17

A warm and humid morning with 8/8 cloud, diminishing to 4/8 by midday, with a light south easterly.
Anglers CP:  Grey Wagtail 2.  Oystercatcher 2 adults + 1 juvenile.  Lapwing 90.
Wintersett Res:  Willow Tit 2 south east corner.
Cold Hiendley Res: Gadwall 1 female + 1 small young.
Lepidoptera: A White-letter Hairstreak was in the north east corner. 
Odonata:  A male Lesser Emperor was flying around the south east bank Wintersett Res., near the bench in Pits Wood at 11.50hrs.  3 Emperors, a Four-spotted Chaser and 20 Black-tailed Skimmers were seen at Anglers CP.
Overnight moth highlights: ~Scarce Footman, Oak Nyctoline,  3 Dingy Footman,  Angle-striped  Sallow,  Plain Wave,  Beautiful Hook-tip,   Blackneck 2,  Scallop Shell, Buff Footman and Dingy Shears.
