Carlton Marsh

Today's highlights included 6 Mute Swans (2 cygnets) on the main scrape (K .Pickard). Meanwhile on the wader scrape, 2 Cormorants, 300 BH Gulls, 42 Herring Gulls, 16 Common Gulls and a Little Egret. Also of note Kingfisher, Greenfinch, 2 Great Spotted and a Green Woodpecker. (JP/R. Laverack/C. Parkin).

This afternoon 3 Peregrine Falcons (2 Tiercels) were tusselling above the wader scrape before they went their different ways (K. Bannister).

It was lovely to see these Mute Swans, as our resident ones left awhile ago. (Karen Pickard)

The flower of Blackthorn was out today (C. Parkin)
