Carlton Marsh & Ardsley Viaduct

This mornings highlights were 7 Siskins, a Treecreeper, Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Moorhen sitting on 5 eggs, 3 Buzzards and 2 Mistle Thrushes (CG).

2 Peregrines were on the chimneys at Ardagh Glassworks (K. Bannister).

A 'Redhead' Goosander was on the Dearne below. 26 Fieldfares, a Coal Tit, 2 Greenfinches, 3 Buzzards a Woodcock and a Common Shrew made for an interesting visit. But perhaps best of all was a Peacock butterfly and a fresh Oak Beauty moth resting on a nearby fence post (C. Parkin).
