5 Buzzards were in the air together, 7 Chiffchaff's sang, Goldcrest, Grey Wagtail, Kingfisher, 2 Cetti's Warbler, Water Rail, 2 Stock Doves sang and displayed and a Redpoll flew north. (L.& A .Corrall/C. Parkin/CG)

An Oystercatcher was on the wader scrape yesterday (Martin Weir).
Butterflies enjoying the spring sunshine today included 17 Comma, 7 Peacock, 5 Small Tortoiseshell and 6 male Brimstone (C. Parkin).
