New in today a drake wigeon. (K. Bannister).
Also present 50 Canada geese, Grey Wagtail, Cetti's Warbler, 2 Water Rails were seen, and a Kingfisher posed and caught several fish. 11 + 13 Greylag Geese flew north (JF/RL/CG).
Other new arrivals were 7 'Easy Care' sheep to graze the Western Meadow. This breed is pretty much self maintaining, they only grow a short fleece, so they don't need shearing and the wool drops of in small clumps in the spring. (R.J. Boland Parks Officer arranged for this to happen. Please look out for them and report any problems.
