The scrape was still covered in around 50% of ice this afternoon so there were only 16 Mallard, and
a Kingfisher on the dike. Siskin, Jay, Green Woodpecker and up to 6 Bullfinch were present and c20 Yellow Buntings were feeding in fields nearby.

After re-opening a gap in the trees to facilitate views over the marsh The British Trust for Conservation Volunteers constructed this hedge screen for us. Its a nice feature.
