Grey with heavy rain showers throughout the day. It was a relief today to find all the usuals still here today!
Wintersett Res: 2 Male Scaup, 3 Egyptian Geese
Anglers CP. Drake American Wigeon, Long-tailed Duck and 48 Teal. The highlight today was a 1st Winter Caspian Gull flying in at 12.05hrs and landing on an islands in front of the hide. It gave brilliant views before doing a fly past southwards at 12.20hrs. See below for Kev Denny's pictures showing many identification features.
As if that wasn't enough, Wintersett Gull Roost tonight held an Adult and a 1st winter Caspian Gull
