Gulls on the Move.
We've noticed a clear out of lots of adult gulls recently, but this recent sighting of a second winter bird is interesting. JX339 was seen at Wintersett, in the roost on 22nd January 2015 and was reported back in Norway just six days later, well on its way back to Varanger !! See complete history below:

Superb information Steve. Amazing where those seagulls come from, and go to.
Ringing and migration studies always come up with surprises. What do we know really know.
