The Edge 2nd Feb

Wombwell Ings mid AM- Present were 4 Mute Swan, 15 Canada Geese, 2 Shelduck, 74 Wigeon, 11 Mallard, 9 Shoveler, 5 Gadwall, 4 Teal, 1m Goosander, 3 Grey Heron, 3 Moorhen, 13 Lapwing, 67 BH Gull, 5 Common Gull, 1 Kingfisher, 11 Redwing over, 1 Mistle Thrush, 9 Meadow Pipit and a party of 12+ Long Tailed Tit. The feeding area across from the Old Moor Pub is attracting many passerines including 5 Reed Bunting and 1 Coal Tit.
Broomhill Flash late AM- Noted were 220+ Canada Geese, 4 Greylag, 1 Shelduck, 143 Wigeon, 52 Teal, 19 Mallard, 18 Gadwall, 15 Pochard, 8 Tufted Duck, 3 Shoveler, 4 Grey Partridge, 35 Coot, 2 Moorhen, 200+ BH gull and 5 Common Gull.
Bolton Ings late AM/early PM-On the open water were 2 Mute Swan, 46 Shoveler, 25 Pochard, 12 Tufted Duck, 11 Teal, 3m+2f Goldeneye, 5 Mallard, 2 Little Grebe, 31 Coot, 2 Moorhen, 37 BH Gull, and 4 Common Gull. Also present were 46 Greylag along with a Pink Footed Goose,  1 Cormorant, 3 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 1 LBB Gull over, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker and a pair of Bullfinch.
