This morning 15 Canada Geese, 4 Greylag Geese, 14 Tufted Duck, 2 Little Grebe, 2 Kingfisher and Common Gull. 38 Linnets were new arrivals and 6 Chiffchaffs were singing. Later Little Owl was showing and at Dusk a Barn Owl was hunting the Western Meadow as a Fox walked by. After dark 3 Pipistrelle bats were abroad and a Long Eared Owl flew north calling at 21.10hrs. Toads were calling from the scrape.
Butterflies today included Brimstone, 18 Peacock, 10 Comma and 2 Small Tort. (Chris Parkin)
