The Edge 4th May

Wombwell Ings-Present were 2 Mute Swan, 19 Canada Geese, 16 Greylag, 2 Pink Footed Geese, 5 Shelduck, 16 Gadwall, 14 Tufted Duck, 12 Mallard, 2 Wigeon, 1 Red Legged Partridge,1 Grey Heron, 19 Coot, 3 Moorhen, 9 Lapwing, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Redshank, 1 Ringed Plover, 16 BH Gull, 40+ Swift, 4 Pied Wagtail, 1 Yellow Wagtail and 2 Linnet.
Warbler Way- Singing males- 12 Willow Warbler, 9 Chiffchaff, 9 Whitethroat, 8 Blackcap, 4 Sedge Warbler, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Garden Warbler, 1 Reed Warbler, 1 Grasshopper Warbler and 1 Willow Tit.
Bolton Ings-On the open water were 1 Mute Swan, 8 Greylag, 5 Canada Geese, 33 Tufted Duck, 8 Gadwall, 3 Mallard, 3 Pochard, 5 Great Crested Grebe, 4 Little Grebe, 52 Coot, 1 Moorhen, 470+ BH Gull, 2 LBB Gull and 1 Herring Gull. Also present were 1 Cormorant, 2 Kestrel, 1 Sparrowhawk and 1 Green Woodpecker.
Broomhill Flash- Noted were 2 Mute Swan, 22 Canada Geese, 5 Greylag, 1 Egyptian Goose, 16 Gadwall, 15 Tufted Duck, 8 Mallard, 3 Pochard, 1 Shoveler, 4 Little Grebe, 22 Coot, 4 Moorhen, 9 Lapwing and  3 LBB Gull.
