Wintersett 17.11.16

5 degrees with 5/8 - 8/8cloud. Rain from 11.00hrs and a moderate south westerly.
Anglers CP: Chiffchaff 1m.    Little Owl 1 heard off east bank.
Wintersett Res:  Pete Smith spotted a juvenile Great Northern Diver from the east bank.  It was swimming and diving off the west bank at 10.30hrs. It moved gradually towards the north east corner before turning and facing into the wind, shaking its head, which is always  the prelude to taking flight, which it did promptly. It circled the reservoir to gain height and flew off east at 10.47hrs.  Rain was imminent, but I managed a few record shots.
