Wintersett + VisMig + Ringing + Gull Roost

6 - 15 degrees with sun,  2/8 high cloud and a light southerly.
Anglers CP VisMig:  A decent morning.  Whooper Swan 15E.   Pink footed Goose 174 in 4 skeins (25 W, 15W, 4S, 130 NE).   Wood Pigeons 6600 SW.  Stock Dove 11 SW.   Brambling 31W.  Curlew 1W.    Redwing 520 W.   Fieldfare 160 SW.  Skylark 34 SW.  

Anglers CP: Golden Plover 5 over.  Grey Wagtail 2.  Goldeneye 1 female.  Grey Partridge 7.  A flock of 22 Jackdaws flew west. 

41 Birds were ringed: Highlights were - 9 Redwing.  7 Lesser Redpoll.  2 Goldcrest.  1 Reed Bunting.  10 Long-tailed Tit.   
Wintersett Res: Little Grebe 15 + 1 ACP.   4 singing male Cetti's Warblers north bank,  south east corner, west bank and boathouse reeds.   

WRes. Gull Roost: per Steve Denny.  Great Black Backed Gull 75, Lesser Black Backed Gull 191, Herring Gull 247.  There was a rush of birds into roost after sunset!

Lepidoptera: Small White 1.  Small Copper 1.  Speckled Wood 2.  

Odonata: Migrant Hawker 2.  Common Darter 1.
