Today's butterfly count included 2 Small Tortoiseshell, 1 Meadow Brown, 1 Large Skipper, 82 Small Heath, 48 Common Blue, 2 Brown Argus, 6 Dingy Skipper and 2 Small Copper. 2 Latticed Heath moths were flushed and the beetle Malachius bipustulatus was found (Chris Parkin).
The only report for Carlton Marsh today was of a Cinnabar Moth and an Emperor Dragonfly (Keith Bannister).
