Carlton Marsh

An adult Cormorant flew north, a Coal Tit called, several Linnets were present and a Chiffchaff was singing.
2 Brown Hawker, a late male Emperor and several Common Darter were enjoying the warm conditions (CG).

At mid-day more insects included 12 Red Admiral, 2 Meadow Brown, 28 Speckled Wood, 5 Comma, 1 Small Heath, 2 Brown Argus, 1 Common Blue, 3 Small Copper, 3 Large White, 5 Small White and 2 GV White. Also 2 male Vapourer moths and 2 Southern Hawker mating (Chris parkin).

2 Swifts and a Grey Wagtail flew over Beech Avenue and a Goldcrest was feeding in the garden (Geoff Miller).
