Good spot?

A bit limited for time today so settled for a mid-evening visit to Wombwell Ings, knowing Old Moor was in capable hands (C.H.).

Wombwell: LRP 3, Redshank 4, Snipe 3, Green Sand 2, Spotted Flycatcher 1 (along Bulling Dike just as you exit Broomhill Park).

Old Moor: Little Egret 1 adult, Garganey 1, Hobby 1, Greenshank 4, Green Sandpiper 8, Dunlin 3, Curlew 2.

Two 'reeling' Grasshopper Warblers were still at Brickworks Pond yesterday.

I was there in the hide at the same time as Keith. This hobby seems to be a regular feature at the momment and is given a spectacular display as it chases lapwings. Well worth a look.
Wath Ings is just a nats off being perfect. Looking good for shanks but not quite ready yet for peeps.
