New in today was a Pochard in eclipse plumage. Also of note Kingfisher, Green Sandpiper, 4 Grey Heron, 2 Teal, Water Rail, Buzzard, 2 Willow Tit and Coal Tit. 2 Swifts were seen in Cudworth today.
A vixen and her 3 well-grown cubs were playing near the wader scrape.
Buterflies included Red Admiral 2, Peacock 1, G. V. White 2, and c20 Speckled Wood.
A second brood Flame Carpet Moth was disturbed from near the hide.
The Alder leaf Beetle seems to be ever present in large numbers on Alnus glutinosa.
The sawfly Tenthredo scrophulariae, determined J.D. Coldwell recently, is still being seen on around Common Figwort. A total of 4 together have been seen over the past week.
