Carlton Marsh

Birds are reacting to the mild conditions, a Magpie was seen repairing its nest, Song Thrush, Great Tit, Coal Tit and Dunnock were all singing and a Great Spotted Woodpecker was 'drumming'.
A Common Gull and 56 Herring Gulls were on the wader scrape and 6 Redpolls, 2 Siskins and a Willow Tit were in that area. As dusk approached a male Tawny showed briefly near the hide and then began to sing.

A pair of Foxes were very vocal and appeared to be trying to mate.
