The national WeBS (wildfowl) counts produced the following highlights on the Flash (there was very little on Houghton Washlands where poachers had been on the previous night and smashed gates and fences);-
Greylag Goose 183, Shelduck 18, Pintail 1 drake, Shoveler 43, Gadwall 53, Wigeon 171, Teal just 107, Smew 1 redhead, Little Egret 2, Grey Heron 12, Oystercatcher 2, Lapwing 216.
The highlight from Ferry Moor/Cudworth Common is 5 Ringed Plover.
