Carlton Marsh

This was what the weather was like on this day last year. Overnight ground frost - 4.8c.with 1" of snow. Heavy showers throughout the day saw another inch of snow and a maximum temperature of - 2.2c and a biting easterly. By 23.00hrs the temperature had dropped to - 5.2c but the wind chill factor made it feel more like -10c. 

Reports today from Jim Plant/Keith Bannister, 130 Herring Gulls, 3 Common Gulls and 150+ BH Gulls on the wader scrape. Elsewhere c40 Redpolls, c60 Redwings and a Chiffchaff singing.
