This afternoon 2 Redshanks, 77 Herring Gulls and 1 LBB Gull were on the wader scrape with the greylags and Canada Geese, as 3 House Martins shot through. Then a Swallow was hawking over the main scrape at 18.24hrs. (Dave Standish/CG)

Butterflies included 16 Orange-tips (1 female), 9 Commas, 3 Speckled Woods and a Peacock (Chris Parkin). A Holly Blue butterfly was seen at White Cross Road, Cudworth (Les Corrall). Chris Parkin also found a pristine Purple Thorn moth at Cudworth Bridges yesterday.
