Not much different today. A Little Ringed Plover, Cormorant and Garden Warbler stood out. There was a possible all too brief sighting of the GWE flying between the trees at the wader scrape. (Jim Plant) Thanks to Mr. Green we know where you are!
This evening on the wader scrape, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 LRP, 1 Redshank and 1 Lapwing (still really scarce here this year, this was only the 5th record. (Dave Standish)
Cudworth Common
A count of singing birds late morning early afternoon provided 8 Chiffchaffs, 21 Whitethroats, 10 Blackcaps, 10 Willow Warblers, 16 Robins, 9 Blackbirds, 2 Great Tits, 4 Skylarks, 3 Yellow Buntings, 2 Goldfinches, 6 Chaffinches, 3 Dunnocks, 1 Greenfinch, 2 Coal Tits, 1 Reed Bunting, 1 dabchick and 2 families of Long-tailed Tits.
A Ringed Plover was displaying in the Symphony compound.
Ferrymoor Flash (Sash pond)
A pair of GC Grebes, Whitethroat singing and an Oystercatcher alighted. (CG)
