Carlton Marsh

2 Buzzards were in the air together and Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff  and Lesser Whitethroat were singing along with 3 Song Thrushes. A Garden Warbler was sallying for insects on the embankment.
There were just 4 LBB Gulls, 5 Herring Gulls and a brood of 5 very young Mallards chicks on the wader scrape.
The first Large Skipper of the year was accompanied by 2 Common Blues and a late faded Dingy Skipper.
2 Four Spotted Chasers were on the wing and the micro moth Nemophora Degeerella (2) were active in a brief bit of sunshine before the next shower came along.
Bumble bees included Red-tailed and Tree Bee.
