The Edge 06/06/2019

Wombwell Ings - Present were 6 Mute Swan, 29 Canada Geese, 2 Shelduck, 22 Gadwall, 11 Mallard, 4 Shoveler, 3 Tufted Duck, 1 Teal, 2 Grey Heron, 1 Cormorant, 1 Coot, 1 Buzzard, 9 Lapwing, 4 Avocet, 2 Redshank, 1 Oystercatcher, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 45 BH Gull, 6+ Skylark, 2 Pied Wagtail, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap and 2 Linnet.  Early morning, K. Fisher also had 10 Black Tailed Godwit, 1 Yellowhammer and 1 Lesser Whitethroat.
Broomhill Flash -  Noted were 2+3y Mute Swan, 22+5y Canada Geese, 1 Greylag, 13 Tufted Duck, 13 Gadwall, 9 Mallard, 3 Little Grebe, 1 Little Egret, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Red Legged Partridge, 32 Coot, 7 Lapwing, 1 Little Ringed Plover and 2 LBB Gull.
TPT -  Singing males included 7 Blackcap, 6 Chiffchaff, 5 Willow Warbler, 4 Whitethroat, 1 Sedge Warbler, 1 Garden Warbler and 1 yaffling Green Woodpecker.
Bolton Ings - On the open water were 4+5y Mute Swan, 12 Greylag, 1 Canada Goose, 18 Tufted Duck, 8m+1f Pochard, 3 Mallard, 2 Gadwall, 3+2y Great Crested Grebe, 1 Little Grebe, 2 Cormorant, 67+5y Coot and 2 LBB Gull. Also present were 1 Grey Heron over west, 2 Buzzard, 1 Common Tern, 1 Kingfisher, 2 Reed Bunting and 1 Linnet.
