Carlton Marsh

The highlights from this morning were; Hobby north at 12.09hrs, Cuckoo and Garden Warbler  singing, Coal Tit, Kingfisher, 4 Dabchicks, 4 Herring Gulls and 1 Collared Dove (its scarce here).

Insects included Common Blue and Green Veined White butterflies, Large Red Damsel and 3 Broad-bodied Chasers. 3 Yellow-barred Long Horns (Nemophora degeerella), a micro moth with exceeding long antennae, were dancing in the sunshine.

I am fairly sure this is a Zebra Spider that found its way onto the log book as I was writing up today's sightings in the hide. How common is it Mr. Coldwell?

Can't say Cliff, I'm afraid, not being an arachnophile.
