Carlton Marsh

A blustery day with sunshine and showers 11c west mod-fresh.

The feeder was busy this morning with birds that included a male Great Spotted Woodpecker (Amy Lomas). If you look closely at the second photo you can just see the metal ring. This is almost certainly the male I ringed on 6/12/17 as a 1st year male, which was re-trapped at the same feeder on 2/3/20.

Amy Lomas

This afternoon Little Egret, Juv. Cormorant, 3 pairs of Tufted Duck, Cetti's Warbler, 2 Buzzards, Coot building a nest and, new in was a male Pochard.
