A lovely, dry winter walk round this morning brought a personal best of 37 for Newmillerdam. Sparrowhawk was my first here and brings my site list to 45 for the year.
Black-headed Gull, Blue Tit, Carrion Crow, Coal Tit, Coot, Dunnock, Goldfinch, Great Crested Grebe, Greylag Goose, Jackdaw, Long-tailed Tit, Mallard, Moorhen, Nuthatch, Pied Wagtail, Robin, Sparrowhawk, Tufted Duck, Wren, Blackbird, Canada Goose, Chaffinch, Collared Dove, Cormorant, Goldcrest, Goosander 10, Great Tit, House Sparrow, Kingfisher, Magpie, Mistle Thrush, Mute Swan (three of last year's young remain with their parents), Pheasant, Redwing 6, Song Thrush, Treecreeper, Woodpigeon.
